A reflection on motherhood.

Motherhood asks of so many things, holding themselves together on days when they don’t know how. Showing up anyway. We think of the mothers who give without keeping count, who love generously and live fully. Who raise their children alongside their work, their friendships and their ambitions.

We think of the women who are not mothers, but who have mothered. The aunts, the older sisters, the friends, the teachers. The ones who helped a child that wasn’t theirs and made them feel safe. With the lead up to Mother’s Day, we celebrate anyone who has cared, carried, held, and kept going.

Today we celebrate you.
